Running 5000km from Manchester to Morocco for the children of Palestine

Moroccan Montana is raising money for Road To Freedom

I am running 5000km from Manchester to Morocco to raise money for the children of Palestine

Road to Freedom is a non-profit charity that aims to provide refugees fleeing war-torn countries with immediate aid, which includes food, clothing and hygiene kits. Working with official NGO’s and charities on the ground at borders and refugee camps, we personally hand aid to those men, women and children in desperate need. Road to Freedom have developed a professional team of volunteers who extensively fund raise each month ahead of their journey to a different location in crisis. Each volunteer effectively distributes aid in a professional and humane manner alongside NGO’s and other on-site charities. Alongside our valuable work on the ground, we consistently strive to raise awareness in the international worlds about the tragic effects of the continuing vulnerability of the refugees affected by war.

Story

I am running 5000km from Old Trafford stadium, in my hometown of Manchester, all the way to the Sahara desert, in my dad's homeland of Morocco. I aim to complete this journey in just 90 days (Thats an average of over 34 miles per day!). My route will take me through the UK, The Netherlands, Belgium, France, Spain and of course Morocco.

I am doing this to raise money to buy lifesaving provisions and medical supplies, as well as other basic necessities for the children of Palestine. I've partnered with Road to Freedom, who work on the ground to send aid trucks into Gaza whilst also helping Palestinian refugees in Egypt.
