Story
The Manchester Hospital School have this year entered the annual Dragon Boat Race, which will take place on the 22nd June at Sale Water Park. Last year, as a school, we entered the Manchester 10K and raised over £5000. This year, we will be doing our best to once more raise as much as we can for such a wonderful charity.
As a charity, the patients are at the heart of everything the Royal Manchester Children's Hospital Charity does. They raise funds to make a difference for the people being treated – young and old – by making sure they receive the very best treatment in the very best facilities.
Their aim is simple: to raise funds to enhance the services provided and the care given to over 2 million patients who require these services every year.
Our fundraising will help enable the purchase of state-of-the-art equipment for diagnosis and treatment, fund pioneering medical research to improve our understanding of illnesses and how best to treat them, and create welcoming, friendly environments that allow patients, and their families, to feel at ease during their time in our care.
The Dragon Boat Festival is a great opportunity for many members of the Manchester Hospital School staff to come together and do all we can to support the children and young people we all work with daily.
If you feel you can support us in this fundraising event we are truly grateful.
