Story
Trust House Lancashire (THL) is a registered Charity who support any resident of Lancashire affected by any kind of sexual violence or abuse from the age of 4 upward. They are facing difficulties with funding and need your support to carry on the essential work they do.
They are a specialist organisation providing therapeutic services, wellbeing and support for individuals and families. They exist to support the recovery of victims and survivors to move through and beyond their experience. Their support places survivors at the heart of what we do and all of their services are trauma informed, person centred and holistic. Last year the youngest child referred to their service was 4 years old and the oldest adult referred was 77 years old. Their vision is a ‘safe Lancashire free from sexual violence and abuse’.
They are more than just a support service, they are a lifeline. Their transformative work not only helps heal but also empowers, leading to significant improvements in the mental health and overall well being of their clients. Through their specialised therapeutic services, they witness profound changes: reductions in self-harm and suicidal thoughts, enhanced abilities to manage depression, anxiety and stress, improved quality of sleep and decreases in trauma symptoms such as flashbacks and panic attacks among other improvements to their day to day lives.
