For those of you that know me you know why. For those of you that don’t … well … 3 reasons Rainbows has a very very special place in my ‘heart’ .

1. My late grandfather was a supporter of Rainbows when it first opened.

2. Chloe’s ambition was to work there and she volunteered whilst as college.

3. Then in 2023 when my beautiful baby granddaughter Willow suffered a huge life changing cardiac arrest, Rainbows was there to support. Willow has a life limiting condition called Dilated Cardiomyopathy and is in severe heart failure leaving her extremely vulnerable to infection therefore Chloe had to give up work to care for her 24/7.

Thanks to Rainbows Willow can do so many activities that she would otherwise be unable to, swimming, socialising, music groups, soft play to name just a few.

But it also offers so much more to the whole family, respite from the daily medication routine, coffee mornings to socialise and meet similar families, support and advice with all manor of medical and social queries.

The list is endless but Rainbows is just ‘THERE’ and for that I am eternally grateful ❤️‍🩹

Rainbows cannot operate without donations as the government only covers around 18% of the costs.
