Here I go again! I am doing the Great North swim and I am such a pathetically extremely slow swimmer!

My passion for Aphasia Reconnect is so much I decided to do this. Aphasia is a little known illness. There are many types but I work with people that have had a stroke and as a result have lost communication skills - the power of speech, writing, numbers. Imagine waking up after a stroke and not being able to speak! How difficult and life changing. Many people in the prime of their careers can no longer work. In seconds their life has changed Aphasia Reconnect helps hundreds of people with Aphasia from regular meetings to assisting with phone calls and admin that needs to be sorted. It is a very lonely illness. You can surely see why I am so impassioned to help. Any contribution would help so much so thank you in advance for supporting me and this wonderful cause.
