Harmeny Education Trust is a national, sector leading children’s charity. They provide therapeutic care and education, on a residential and day basis to children and young people aged 5-18, who have experienced early years trauma due to abuse, neglect and significant family disruption, enabling them to build positive relationships, make friends and rediscover the joy of learning at their school and cottages in Balerno, on the outskirts of Edinburgh.

Most have been in care from a young age and have been passed from pillar to post as carers and local authorities have struggled with their complex needs.

At Harmeny they are given consistent care and can discover how to be children again, to play, make friends and find fresh ways of learning that focus on their strengths. Your support will help young people who have had extremely challenging starts in life to get the spaces, opportunities and support they need to develop, discover their potential and thrive!
