I'm raising money for my 30th birthday on 17th March in memory of my dad. The RNLI has always been a charity my family has supported, mostly during holidays throughout my childhood to the Norfolk coast. Since losing my dad suddenly and unexpectedly a few months after my 18th birthday, birthdays (especially big ones!) are always a mix of excitement and also echo the loss of those who are no longer here. I was hoping that instead of gifts people would be willing to donate to RNLI to keep my dad's memory alive and to involve him in my special birthday. It would mean a lot to me and hopefully we can also do something special to support a wonderful charity too on his behalf.
My dad's name is proudly inscribed upon the 13-46 RNLI Shannon Lifeboat at Wells-Next-The-Sea so it felt like the perfect tribute.
Thank you for taking the time to read this and getting to know my wonderful dad.
I am raising money alongside my friend Alex, who is doing a Total Warrior for Mind in memory of his much loved and missed Nana (and not just telling a X-Factor sob story!) 💙

Too many people are still drowning. More than ever we need the RNLI’s help. As a charity, the RNLI depends on our donations so it can go on saving lives and keeping us and our loved ones safe.
RNLI lifesavers are our lifeline. They’re the lifeboat crews who provide 24-hour search and rescue right around the UK and Ireland. The lifeguards keeping watch on 240 of the busiest beaches in the UK and Channel Islands. And the RNLI safety teams and educators working tirelessly to stop people getting into trouble in the first place.
