Mandy & Charlotte's Skydive for SeeSaw

Skydive for SeeSaw 2024 · 23 August 2024
SeeSaw provides a grief support service for children, young people and their families anywhere in Oxfordshire, whether the death is sudden or expected, due to illness or accident, or for some other reason. We believe that with appropriate and timely support, bereaved young people will be able to face the future with hope and fulfil their potential despite a devastating loss.
As a small charity SeeSaw relies on the support of countless individuals, families, community groups, businesses and schools to keep going.
See below for Mandy and Charlottes stories:
Mandy's Story-
"My two daughters lost their dad in 2009 aged 10 and 3 years old. The trauma his death caused them is beyond words and has affected both girls lives forever. But with the help of SeeSaw they both agree that they received made the grieving process a little easier.
It's time for me to repay my debt of gratitude to SeeSaw for being there when at times as a family we felt totally alone.
I had hoped that once Charlotte and I had agreed to raise funds for SeeSaw, we could participate in a few leisurely walks etc, Charlotte had other ideas though, so here we are doing a skydive, we must be bonkers.
Yes I am terrified of heights, but I have the support of my precious daughters and grandson. I feel blessed.
Thank you SeeSaw."
Charlotte's Story-
"Although I never went through SeeSaw when my mum passed away suddenly when I was 14.
I know how hard it is to experience the loss of a parent and how your whole life falls apart.
I have chosen to do the charity Skydive for Seesaw so, I can help young people get the support they need."
