Story
A few months ago, me and a few uni mates made a rather spontaneous decision to run a Marathon. Spirits were high, I'd just hit my first 10k, and I thought "how hard can it be"? Well, as it turned out, staying injury free has been the biggest hurdle meaning I've spent a lot more time on my bike rather than on my feet as originally planned. Now, with 2 weeks to go the 30k mark has just been hit, and I'm finally feeling ready for Budapest!
I'm raising money for Caring Hands in the Vale, a charity in my local community of Evesham who support those who are either homeless or on low incomes. Those referred can receive food parcels, toiletry packs, bedding, clothing and blankets free of charge depending on their circumstances. There are also resources available for individuals who are street homeless or sofa surfing, such as sleeping bags and backpacks as well as the provision of a free hot meal twice a week.
With the cost of living crisis at an all time high, the support which Caring Hands are providing is as important as ever. Any donations to this worthwhile charity would be greatly appreciated!
