Story
In April 2026, I’ll be taking on the huge challenge of running the London Landmarks Half Marathon for a very special cause.
As a molecular biologist working on protein structures using cryo-EM, I’ve recently started focusing on mitochondria, the tiny powerhouses of our cells. Mitochondrial diseases affect thousands of people and can lead to devastating conditions such as blindness, stroke, and severe developmental disorders. Despite their impact, these diseases remain under-recognized and underfunded.
To raise awareness and support those affected, I’m running in support of the Lily Foundation, an incredible organization dedicated to helping individuals and families living with mitochondrial disease.
Your support, no matter how big or small will make a real difference. Thank you so much in advance for donating whatever you can and for standing with me in this cause.
Together, we can help shine a light on mitochondrial disease and give hope to those who need it most.
