On 25th October, I’ll be running the Snowdonia Marathon Eryri in aid of Brynawel Rehab Centre.

Brynawel is incredibly close to my heart, and I’m proud to be a patron of such a vital organisation. The work they do is truly inspiring, and the dedicated, compassionate team consistently go above and beyond to care for their patients and members.

Between October and December 2024, there were over 6,500 referrals to drug and alcohol treatment agencies in Wales (Source: Digital Health and Care Wales). That’s thousands of lives in need of support, healing, and hope.

We must help people transform their lives—freeing them from the shackles of addiction and offering them a future filled with possibility. As children of God, wonderfully and fearfully made, we are called to live life to the fullest. We must extend hope and strength to those struggling with substance misuse, showing them compassion and love so they can reclaim control over their lives.

I love running. It’s my mental rest from daily duties and a space where I feel free with God. I pray that everyone can find their own rest from the day-to-day and discover their own path to freedom. I want this fundraising effort to echo that message: that everyone deserves to feel free and live life to the fullest.
