David Sloan’s HYROX Marathon Madness – Charity Challenge
Our very own David Sloan the legendary (and slightly crazy) DWS Coach, has cooked up a challenge that pushes the limits — and brings the fun! On August 9th at Sierra Lima CrossFit, we’re taking on a HYROX Marathon like no other — and it’s all for a great cause. As an Alder Hey family Ambassador I’m thrilled to be taking part in this challenge. 🫶🏻
What is it?
It’s HYROX… multiplied by 10. Yes, 10X the standard distance/reps at every station. Here’s what the madness looks like:
• 10KM Ski Erg
• 500M Sled Push
• 500M Sled Pull
• 800M Burpee Broad Jumps
• 10KM Row
• 2KM Farmers Carry
• 1KM Sandbag Lunges
• 1000 Wall Balls
(All stations based on HYROX Open weights)
Between each station:
4 x 2.5KM solo runs (1 per athlete)
And after the last station:
One final 2.5KM team run
Team Options:
• Team of 4 – 12-hour time limit
• Each athlete runs a Half Marathon (22.5KM) total
• Team of 2 – 14-hour time limit
• Each athlete runs a Full Marathon (42.5KM) total
You can split the stations however you like, but the order stays the same. This is teamwork at its best — pacing, pushing, and getting through it together.
To Enter:
Each team member donates £25 to take part.
Additional donations are more than welcome and deeply appreciated — all going to Alder Hey Children’s Charity.
Join us. Suffer a bit. Laugh a lot. And make a difference.
See you at the finish line!
