Story
In Dec 2023, four days before her 1st birthday, we received the devastating news: our daughter Rose had a neuroblastoma, a rare type of children's cancer.
What followed was six months of treatment, including 4 rounds of chemotherapy, blood transfusions, platelet infusions, MRI scans, x-Rays, surgeries and many overnight stays in hospital. Finally, in May this year she had surgery to remove the tumour from her body.
Throughout Rose's diagnosis and treatment she inspired and amazed us all with her strength, resilience, kindness and Duracell bunny energy. She was sick, lost her appetite completely, was rushed back and forth to hospital and was hooked up to toxic medicines but she did it all with a smile and a hunger to play non-stop.
Solving Kids Cancer are a wonderful charity who provide support for children & families like ours that are affected by rare cancers, from pastoral care & advice, through to financial grants and funding vital research into developing kinder and more effective treatments.
This year, Richard & I want to raise as much money as we can for this amazing charity and we'll be hosting lots of fundraising events and will be running the London Marathon in April 2025.
Any money you can spare in support the work Solving Kids Cancer and the families & children affected by cancer would be so appreciated.
