Story
On April 4th, the 6 of us (Henry Portman, Matt Versloot, Rob Malhamé, Hugo Browne, Matt Sykes and Hector Elliott) will set off across the Moroccan Sahara to complete the Marathon des Sables, otherwise known as ‘the toughest footrace on Earth’. Over the course of 7 days we will run/ walk/ crawl +250km with ~10kg of equipment on our backs at temperatures as high as 50°C.
Aside from our inflated egos, the main reason for us completing this challenge is to raise funds for CALM (the Campaign Against Living Miserably). Every pound that you feel able to donate will go to this incredible charity; CALM tackles mental health problems by offering suicide preventing support to those who need it most, while challenging the stigma around a topic that so many find difficult to discuss. We each have our own personal reasons for choosing this cause and appreciate any support (financial or otherwise) that you’re able to give!
