Hey... For those who don’t know me, I’m Rachel. I’m 18, from Inverness and studying Music at Napier, Edinburgh. I’m planning to go on the Blythswood Romania trip in the summer of 2024. There’s a group of eight of us hoping to go, to run a week-long camp for underprivileged children.

As part of the fundraising to allow this trip to happen, I’ll be training for a marathon. Although I do already run, this is going to be a different challenge 😱 but I’m excited to get started! I’m aiming to complete the run around the 9th of March (tbc) and, due to most marathons taking place on a Sunday, I’m going to plot my own route around Inverness on a Saturday. I will have around 15 weeks to train. (I also hope others in the team will join me for a few kilometres along the route!)
