At 43 I've decided to stop pinning my hopes on getting into the London Marathon before I get too old.... So, I will be heading to San Sebastián in Spain to attempt my first (and possibly my last) marathon (42.195kms) this November.

Having never ran more than a half marathon, I'm finding the thought of the training alone daunting enough, forget the marathon itself!

I thought running raising money for Whittingham would hopefully give me extra motivation and drive. Greyhounds are the most incredible companions and this is where we rehomed Megan from - we can't thank them enough. Anyone who has met her will know how wonderful she is and what a positive impact she has had in my life.

Whittingham are an amazing charity, looking after and rehoming greyhounds that are lucky enough to survive the racing industry. Louise and the team work tirelessly for the dogs and have a constant waiting list of dogs in need.

Every donation, however big or small, will help them rescue and rehome more greyhounds and cover essential costs such as veterinary bills.
