I'm running the London Marathon to raise money for Guy's Gift charity and also in memory of my mother in law, Hilary, who sadly & unexpectedly passed away 3 weeks ago.

3 years ago, we lost someone close, far too early in life. Chris / "Hucky" was a friend, husband to my cousin and wonderful dad to my amazing goddaughter & her siblings.

The void this left, along with the distress & upset to the family, was heart-breaking to witness. Fortunately, the support received was tremendous, as described in my cousin Zoe's story below. This is my effort to repay some of the amazing support Guy's Gift offered.

"As a family, we lost someone special and in the midst of this grief, we had children that were left without a father and none of us knew how to handle this or what to do for the best. This is where Guy's Gift came in, reassuring us that we were not alone. They provided literature, counselling and group therapy, not only for the children but also for me.

A truly amazing and deserving charity that will support children and families in their time of need.

They were founded in 2009 and have supported over 2500 children to date."
