Marc Lazare is raising money for Rays of Sunshine

London Marathon 2025 · 27 April 2025 ·

We brighten the lives of children who are living with serious or life-limiting illnesses, between the ages of 3-18, across the United Kingdom by granting their wish and supporting them in hospitals and hospices.

Story

For those of you that know me, you’ll know I love sport and exercise. But up until 2024 I’d never ran further than 5k so naturally I thought I’d try and run 42km because why not!

I’m absolutely buzzing to throw myself into the training and to push my limits. I love a challenge and this is definitely going to be just that. I have no doubt it’ll be absolutely worth it because beyond my personal goal, this is all to raise money for an amazing cause.

I’ve decided to raise money for Rays of Sunshine. A brilliant Charity who exist to fulfil the wishes of children, between the ages of 3-18 in the UK, of any race or gender who are terminally or seriously ill. It also buys equipment for these children and supports the hospices, hospitals and specialist schools that care for them. The charity brightens the lives of these children and their families by granting wishes and providing ongoing support. Rays of Sunshine believes that every child deserves to experience happiness and put their illness on hold, even if it is just for one day. Their work provides a positive distraction, reduces isolation, improves self-esteem and creates precious memories and smiles.

Any donation, little or large will be greatly appreciated and will make a huge difference

Thanks for all your support and I can’t wait to put all my training into action in April.
