The White Peak Way. Exactly 100 miles.

We hoped to complete the slightly longer Cotswold Way for 2023, alas some complications with the route entailed we defaulted to our back up plan.

This is a route that Marc has walked a few times from a student, with Harvey (when he was 9) and to assist some other friends navigating for their own charity. It is a beautiful route that has been extended from the official route to take in the beautiful Lathkill Dale.

This will bring our total mileage upon the conclusion to 2,435 which will have been an average of 187 per challenge.Our current overall total raised sits at £44,769.86.

An average of £3,730 per year.

It will be amazing to smash through £45k as always for Greyhound Gap. We hope you enjoy the face book journey with ourselves and once again we are in debt to you all for your loyal support. walkingthebeat....was formed by Marc & Steve, police officers and colleagues that first worked together in 2007 and became friends, walkingthebeat best has been joined by other officers on the routes over the years and friends that wanted to raise money for Greyhounds to assist with their rescue, rehabilitation and rehoming.Year on year long distance challenges are undertaken that will see 2023 become year 13 in which 2,435 miles running and walking across amazing countries and landscapes will have been achieved and quite possibly reach £45,000...all in aid of Greyhound Gap, an independent charity based in Stoke. England.
