Story
Hello guys, after 2 years off I’m back and asking for your generosity again. I am aiming to run a half marathon every day throughout the month of March, 13.1 miles x 31 days = 406.1 miles, to help raise money for two charities. One is the Tommy Crush Foundation, for which I’m sure if you know me you know them. I am now a Trustee for this charity that means so much to me. For those that don’t know, the Tommy Crush Foundation is a charity that helps teenagers vulnerable to suicide. The second charity is Hudson the SuperHero. I met Hudson and his Mum, Claire, in January through Hudson’s Dad, Callum, whom I know from both being involved at the same football team, Erith Town. Hudson is a 10 year old boy, who has cerebral palsy and after spending 5 minutes in their company inspired me to want to do something to help. Hudson was fortunate to have life changing SDR surgery at GOSH in February 2020 and following the surgery, Hudson’s specialist treatment and equipment has been fundamental for him to continue to make progress. It is necessary for him to have: 3/4 physiotherapy sessions as week; regular two week intensive block therapy courses; adapted footwear and specifically modified splints, all of which are not available on the NHS.
I would be eternally grateful to you all to help these two fantastic causes and I will keep you updated throughout the month.
