*Previous challenge*

Hi Everyone,

I’m running my first Marathon on June 2nd 2024 in Cork Ireland for PAPYRUS – Prevention of young suicide.

I unfortunately lost my Dad to suicide just before the age of 7, he was only 26 years old. After recently participating in PAPYRUS’ Suicide Intervention 2-day workshop I feel compelled to raise money for such a great organisation.

Their HOPELINE is open 24/7 to offer support in this situation https://www.papyrus-uk.org/papyrus-hopeline247/

My trip is completely self-funded. If you’d like to sponsor me all donations go to PAPYRUS and would be greatly appreciated, plus my employer Wates Group will kindly match the total raised - https://www.wates.co.uk/

Many thanks, Marc

PAPYRUS is the national Charity for the Prevention of Young Suicide.

Suicide is the biggest killer of young people under the age of 35 in the UK, every year over 1800 young people took their own lives. PAPYRUS provides confidential support and advice to young people struggling with thoughts of suicide, and anyone worried about a young person through their helpline, HOPELINE247.

Every £5 raised can contribute towards a life-saving contact to HOPELINE247. Your donations really are lifesaving, thank you.
