Back in 2018, I took on a challenging three-day charity trek through the Swiss, French and Italian Alps — circumnavigating Mont Blanc across three countries in 3 days — and raised a significant amount for Julia's House. It was one of the hardest and most rewarding things I have ever done. One of the most touching parts of taking on challenges like this is the opportunity to meet some of the parents whose children use Julia's House. Hearing their experiences firsthand — the relief, the gratitude, and the joy it brings their whole family — is truly humbling and makes every step absolutely worth it.

Now I'm back for more. This time I'm taking on the Great Wall of China to raise £3,500, and I cannot wait.

Julia's House, our local charity provides respite care for seriously ill children, giving them the chance to have fun, make friends and experience joy, creating memories that will last a lifetime — while parents get precious time to rest and recharge.

I'm also lucky to work for a company that shares my passion for this incredible charity. At Asbury Heating Maintenance Limited, we support Julia's House in a number of ways — from providing a free annual boiler service, to team members taking on the Bournemouth Half Marathon in their name. Julia's House is a cause the whole Asbury team gets behind, and I'm proud to be part of that.

Every pound I raise goes directly towards making those precious moments possible for seriously ill children and their families.
