Sadly in late November last year and after a very short and sudden battle with bowel cancer, we lost my amazing Mother-in-Law, Ali's Mum and Carina's Nanny, Pat Beesley.

I wanted to do something to remember Pat, so I'm going to be running the Manchester Marathon in her memory.

This will be my 5th Marathon and also my 5th attempt at trying to get a sub-4.00 and I know that I'll have Pat looking down on me on the day cheering me on, as she would be doing if she were here on the big day.

Halton Haven has been a cause very close to Ali, Rach, Pat & Norm having supported them every year with the Tanza School of Dance Christmas Show, which Pat would also work at every year selling refreshments with me on the tuck shop!

So I want to run the marathon in Pat's name in support of this wonderful cause.
