IMPROVING LIVES FOR PEOPLE AFFECTED BY MENTAL ILLNESS West London NHS Trust (WLT) is one of the largest and most diverse providers of NHS mental health services in the UK. We provide care and treatment for around 33,600 people each year. Our job is to help people to recover and manage their symptoms so they can get on with living a full and happy life. One in four of us will experience a mental health condition at some point in our lives and it is likely that all of us in some way will be affected by mental health issues, either personally or a loved one. There is always more that we would like to do for our patients, and the donations we receive from generous individuals and organisations can help us to provide those extras that government funding just cannot stretch to. Your donations allow us to buy equipment, fund projects and provide better facilities which would otherwise be unaffordable under the NHS. Your support has the power to genuinely enhance the patients experience and aid recovery. Your generous support truly makes a difference and we are extremely grateful for any donations received.

Story

On 26th May, I will be riding from London to Essex and back again. This will be a 60-mile route on traffic-free roads.

I decided to participate in fundraising for the West London NHS Charity because I wanted to support people in the same community where I grew up.

By fundraising for this charity, I can make a positive difference today. West London is my home. I love living here and believe in prioritising well-being & recovery for those in my community who may need healthcare services.

Donations to the West London NHS Charity will go towards various projects which include:

Funding for a Carers corner at The Dig in Hanwell. The Dig is a site for carers which aims to increase their access to green spaces whilst providing respite from the caring role, it also helps to improve mental and physical wellbeing.

Brush parties & Improved wellbeing zones for staff as well as the Purchase of a left-handed electric guitar for use in the weekly ‘Music Group’ facilitated by Occupational Therapy for clients of the Hounslow Community Rehabilitation Service.
