Story
Hi my name is Marcus and I am taking on the GBUltra 54 miles, following the Cumbria way from Keswick to Ulverston (Lake district), + a little detour taking on the great gable (899m) and England's highest mountain Scafell pike (978m).
As many of you know, a friend of mine lost his battle to a rare and aggressive form of bowel cancer at the age of 29 years.
6 months has now passed and that means only one thing, we go again for another run but this time we are running uphill. 54 miles to cover with highs of around 3656m elevation......lets hope the views are good at least :/
I am running this race to raise funds for the amazing Wirral Hospice St John's, where T was cared for.
These guys are truly amazing! Wirral Hospice relies on donations and fundraising activities to help the charity keep caring for patients and their loved ones when most needed.
Any support or donation, no matter how small, truly means the world.
RIP T/Tig (03/02/2026) ❤️
Thank you,
Marcus :)
