On 16th October, gorgeous George Knight-Phillips joined the world to parents Greg and Francesca.

At their 36 week scan, Doctors identified that George has achondroplasia or dwarfism as it is more commonly known.

This came as a shock to Greg and Francesca. As there is no previous history in either family, it is a 1 in 30,000 chance that they would have a child with the condition.

At a time of need, they were supported by Little People UK, which was co-founded by the actor Warwick Davis, with the aim to offer friendship and support to people with dwarfism, their families and friends, and help build a positive future for those individuals.

When I spoke to Greg, he told me that he was indebted to the charity for their support and would like to do a fundraiser for them.

I am running 10km each and every day (whatever the weather) throughout November. On the 30th I will have completed 300km of running. This is the equivalent of running over 7 marathons or running the distance between London to Leeds.

I am doing this to help raise awareness of achondroplasia and to help normalise the condition. Little People UK supported my friend and I now want to support them.
