Margaret McMillan Primary School's fundraiser for Bradford Central Foodbank

Margaret McMillan Primary School is raising money for Bradford Central Foodbank

Step by Step Walk for The Food Bank (12 Mile walk along Leeds and Liverpool Canal) · 4 July 2026

We are currently feeding 1300 people a month who are going hungry and have no where left to turn. We not only give food parcels, fresh fruit and veg but we also help people overcome the root cause of their food crisis through benefits advice, job coaching, asylum seeker support and fuel grants.

Margaret McMillan Charity Fundraiser - Step by Step for the Food Bank

Staff from Margaret McMillan Primary School are coming together to take on a fundraising challenge and we’d truly value your support.

On Saturday 4th July 2026, our team will walk approximately 12 miles along the Leeds–Liverpool Canal towpath, starting at Kirkstall Forge in Leeds and finishing at Bingley Five Rise Locks.

We’re raising vital funds for our local Food Bank, helping families in our own community who are facing real challenges. Supporting families close to home matters because these are the people we see every day — our pupils, their families, neighbours, and friends. When local families are supported, children are better able to learn, grow, and thrive, and our whole community becomes stronger.

Every step we take helps put food on the table.

Every donation, no matter the size, makes a meaningful difference.

Please support our walkers and help us make a real, lasting impact in Bradford and beyond.

Thank you so much for your generosity and encouragement.
