Story
Me and my construction yard rescue Rover 75 Sylvia are Team Three of Ten (slightly mad) MG Rover enthusiasts who make up the Charity Rally Rovers who run modern classic MG Rover cars as dailies and show cars. Most of our vehicles are saved-from-scrap survivors who were given second chances of being on the road. All of them are our pride and joys that we love to own and drive.
And we're supporting ANDYSMANCLUB for a daring convoy run - John O' Groats to Lands End in 24 hours or less!
Established in 2016, Andy's Man Club provides non-judgemental, non-clinical mental health support groups for men aged 18 and over. Taking its name from Andrew Roberts who sadly took his own life aged 23, Andy's family had no inkling that he was suffering or struggling to the extent that would lead him to taking the action he did. They discovered that male suicide is the biggest killer of men under the age of 54 and that male mental health has a well-ingrained cultural stigma in the UK.
We're hoping to raise £1000 big ones for this incredible charity, and showcase the Rover 75 and MG ZT as the incredible powerhouse vehicles they are.
Our cars represent the legacy of MG Rover and are motoring proof that just because a car is old, high mileage or has a problem it doesn't mean that it has outlived its usefulness.
This mission is all about triumph over adversity, and hopefully you'll help support us.
