Story
Free to Run’s mission is to advance gender equity globally through running.
They do this by providing leadership and wellbeing programs, in conjunction with running experiences, for adolescent girls and young women in conflict areas like Iraq and Afghanistan. Free to Run participants are typically refugees, internally displaced people, and those who identify as ethnic minorities.
The end goal is a shift in gender equality with a specific focus on the expansion of access to public space, and leadership opportunities for young women.
Sports have been always been my go-to!
Watching the Free to Run video with FTR Founder Stephanie Case featuring women in Afghanistan made me realise how fortunate I am. Today I run as a FTR Ambassador.
My biggest goal for 2025 will be the UTMB. The Ultra Trail of the Mont Blanc is a trail race of approximately 171 kilometres (106 mi), and a total elevation gain of around 10,040 metres (32,940 ft).
I will be dedicating this race to FTR. My aim is to fundraise and raise awareness of FTR.
My 2025 race calendar is as follows:
- March 2025: Skitouring - Trophée du Muveran
- June 2025: Dolomiti Experience in Italy(107KM)
- August 2025: UTMB in France (171KM)
