I am swimming Lake Windemere end to end (11 miles) for LEAF because it is a small charity that delivers a big positive impact for the people of Ledbury and surrounding villages. It's presence is felt in our Health centre through its pastoral service, local schools through in reach, our youth with a twice weekly drop in centre, debt counselling and recovery, counselling for all ages, self help via regular Kintsugi programmes, family fun days and accessible easter, Christmas and an alternative to Halloween party. Mostly staffed by volunteers raised funds support training, outreach, and more support for our local population.

To prepare for the 6 September I am swimming the other two big lakes in the lake district - Coniston (5.25 miles), and Ullswater (7.5 miles), plus a 9 mile swim in London approximately 3 weeks before Windemere. I have been training since October 2024. It's been hard work. I do hope you will feel able to support these efforts for LEAF - Locally Encouraging All to Flourish.
