Story
October is Breast Cancer Awareness month and also the month one year ago which turned our world upside down. A poster on Facebook published by Prevent Breast Cancer prompted me to go to my GP as my left boob looked like one of the boobs on the poster. I have always regularly checked my breasts, and although I felt something, I put it down to hormones and pushed it to the back of my mind. Without the Prevent campaigns, my story may have ended differently, as early diagnosis means I’m still around to ask you all to support this amazing charity.
I have pledged to run 100 miles in October to raise as much money as possible to ensure Prevent Breast Cancer can keep doing the work they do to save lives. I used to love running, but lots of things get pretty hard when you go through illness. I have chosen a challenge which will push me out of my comfort zone, and in return I hope that I can make a difference to other lives by contributing to much needed funds.
I will need as many running buddy volunteers as possible to get me through this, so please let me know if you want to keep me company.
Thank you
