I am incredibly lucky to be celebrating my 90th birthday surrounded by family and friends, and I really don’t need any presents. Instead, I’d love to use this occasion to support a cause that helps others.
I’m very grateful for the kindness, care and opportunities I’ve experienced throughout my life. If you would like to mark the occasion, a donation — no matter how small — would mean far more to me than a gift.
The Acorn Community Centre are a community centre dedicated to helping people feel welcome, safe and valued. Alongside practical services such as room hire, a café, laundrette and charity shop, our wider aim is to support wellbeing, build confidence and create opportunities for people of all ages. We are particularly passionate about helping young people reach their potential and supporting community mental health through projects, volunteering and inclusive activities that bring people together.
