Story
On 10th May 2026, I’ll be taking part in the Bromsgrove 10k Fun Run organised by Blood Cancer UK (with slightly stiff legs, courtesy of the Birmingham Half Marathon).
My motivation to support this charity stems from both my personal and professional life.
Three years ago my lovely mum had just started chemotherapy for lymphoma. Next week we will celebrate another birthday of hers cancer-free! Blood Cancer UK helps fund the life-saving research that ultimately has given me the privilege of celebrating more birthdays with mum, and for that I am so grateful.
As well, through my work as a paediatric trainee with recent experience in haematology, I have worked with some incredible children and young people also fighting blood cancer.
I feel passionately about doing all we can to understand blood cancer and find better and kinder treatments so others don’t need to suffer.
Thank you for your support!
