❤️ My reason for running the Worcester 10K ❤️

In April 2026, my best friend’s beautiful 4-year-old daughter developed a high temperature. Just a week later, her family received the devastating news that she had a large tumour on her kidney and she was diagnosed with cancer.

This incredibly brave little girl is now undergoing treatment at Birmingham Children’s Hospital, and it has been confirmed that her cancer is stage 4 metastatic disease.

Despite everything she is going through, her strength, resilience, courage and incredible passion for life continues to shine through. She is facing the exhaustion and physical challenges of chemotherapy and radiotherapy and throughout all of this her bravery is truly inspiring. ❤️

At the beginning of her diagnosis, I reached out on social media for some help with something I desperately wanted to do for the family. A wonderful charity called Magic of Milly came to my aid and went above and beyond to help me achieve what I had hoped to do.

I will be eternally grateful to Emma, the founder of Magic of Milly, for her kindness and support at such an incredibly difficult time.

I promised Emma that one day I would repay that kindness, so now, it’s my turn to return the favour. ❤️

On 13th September 2026, I will be running the Worcester 10K to raise money for Magic of Milly.

Now, although I’ve been running for over a year, believe me when I say that 10K does NOT come easy to me! 😂🏃‍♀️ It is going to be a real challenge, but knowing that I’m doing it for such an amazing cause will hopefully get me through those last few kilometres!

Magic of Milly does incredible work supporting Birmingham Children’s Hospital and families who are facing some of the worst and most frightening times of their lives.
