Story
I’m just entering my third week of training for the London Marathon on April 26th. After vowing never to run another marathon, those rose-tinted glasses somehow reappeared—and when I was offered a charity place, I couldn’t say no.
Over one million people apply for the London Marathon each year. How could I turn down the opportunity when my legs still work and I can raise money for a cause so close to my heart? I’ll be running for those living with Alzheimer’s, and for their carers, families, and friends—the unsung heroes whose unwavering support so often goes unseen.
Any support you’re able to give, whether personal or through a business, would be hugely appreciated. Every donation helps fund vital research and brings us closer to a future without Alzheimer’s.
Thank you for your support—it truly means more than I can say.
Every 3 minutes dementia steals a happily ever after. Research is our only chance of changing the ending for people affected by dementia.
We are the UK's leading dementia research charity. We exist for a cure.
Your donation helps our scientists and researchers find new ways to diagnose dementia, develop new treatments and find a cure for dementia.
