Feed Hungry Weans

Marie McInnes is raising money for North Glasgow Community Food Initiative
With major funding cuts and the cost of living crisis, we need your help to support the vital work we are doing to fight food poverty in North Glasgow. The money you donate will go directly to support families through our community pantry and fridges

Story

Our community fridges and Royston Community Pantry give families increased access to affordable good food. Support is needed now more than ever.

"The Pantry is a literal lifesaver. With the cost of living through the roof, our weekly shopping (which we already always based around offers and shops like Lidl etc.) has doubled, sometimes even more. It really helps us to make sure theres at least some fresh fruit and vegetables in the house. At the moment were just glad to have a dinner every night. With the possibility of actually having fresh vegetables, it makes it more possible to have healthier meals. We also really appreciate and like the community made meals we can bring home and heat up, theyre delicious and healthy. Last week it was a literal lifesaver. Due to unforeseen bills we literally didnt have money to go shopping so the pantry did patch us over to the next payday. It helps us a lot to keep the family fed."
