The family and friends of Paddy Madine are sponsoring a race atDownpatrick Racecourse on Friday 10th May 2024.

Paddy was an avid race goer and over the years had his own horses, with both Tareesh Lane and Tareeshar racing at Downpatrick racecourse.

He said it was never going to make him money but he took enjoyment out of seeing his horses race.

Any kind donations will go to Harry's Place Ballyhinch which helps people with learning disabilities. Paddy's grandson Jamie is a member and his wife Marie spends many Saturday afternoons in the cafe enjoying both the food and atmosphere. Many treats were brought home for Paddy although some might have went missing when family were around but he always saved a bit for FiFi the dog.
