When our son was diagnosed with a brain tumour on his 11th birthday, our world was turned upside down. That day marked the start of a long and arduous journey for our whole family, as we supported him through his battle against this terrible illness.

Amidst the struggle - and the many hours and months of treatment - we were able to experience moments of joy thanks to the Owen McVeigh Charity.

Those special “magic moments” during treatment, and now at the start of recovery, make a world of difference to families going through unimaginable pain, just as they did for us.

Now that our son is out of treatment, I want to give something back to this amazing charity. That’s why I’ve signed up for the 3 Peaks Challenge.

During illness and treatment, personal fitness inevitably takes a back seat, so I know climbing three mountains will be a real challenge — but it feels small compared to what many families face every day.

Any support you can give, no matter how big or small, will help this incredible charity continue creating magical moments for children and families who need them most.
