Story
After such a tough year in agriculture, especially in my local community where the strains of life have shown themselves in the most severe ways, I felt compelled to take action. Farmers work tirelessly, often facing exhaustion and isolation. Yet, amidst the challenges, a simple chat and a laugh can brighten even the darkest of days.
With this in mind, I have set myself an ambitious challenge: to milk 10,000 cows in 10 days from Scotland to Southern England. This personal challenge aims to raise vital funds for the incredible charity, The Royal Agricultural Benevolent Institution (RABI). RABI is dedicated to ensuring that no one from the farming community faces adversity alone. They provide essential support tailored to individual needs, including free counselling and practical assistance.
Farmers deliver an essential service by producing food for our nation; however, their journey can be isolating and challenging—even after retirement. RABI’s grant programmes and emergency support help individuals navigate through crises with compassion and care.
I invite you to join me on this journey by donating whatever you can afford. Together, we can make a difference and ensure that our farmers receive the support they deserve.
