Story

Low grade serous ovarian cancer is a rare and under-researched disease. It affects young women and is resistant to standard treatment. At the Nicola Murray Centre, based at the University of Edinburgh, we are screening panels of new drugs in the laboratory in order to identify those most likely to be beneficial in the clinic.

Sadly Rachel passed away peacefully on Sunday 11 February 2024, at the age of 44, very courageous lady with such determination to beat this awful disease. Every day was so precious to Rachel as her fight was to be with her three children as long as she could. Rest peacefully our beautiful and vivacious Rachel, your memory will be in our hearts forever.
