Story
As many of you know, I’m a very reserved and shy person, and I hadn’t planned to raise money for my London Marathon this year. However, over the past few months, my family and I experienced a great loss with the passing of my father-in-law, Harry.
In his memory, I’ve decided to dedicate my marathon run to him. Harry was a kind and generous man who supported a child in Africa through a charity—a project that was set up by my husband Dave (You Can Africa - they partner with charity 'I AM' who help with housing provision in Uganda; they are working on some live projects together).
To honour Harry’s legacy, I’ll be running the London Marathon in his name and raising funds for the cause he cared deeply about. Any support you can give would mean the world to us and help continue the impact he made.
Thank you so much,
Mariela Rutherford - Franquet
