🏃♀️ My first ever half marathon! 🏃♀️
On 4th October, I’ll be taking on the Glasgow Half Marathon — something I honestly never thought I’d do! I’ve never run further than 10k before, so 13.1 miles is definitely going to be a challenge. 😅
But I’ve got a very special reason for doing it.
I’m raising money for The Brave Positive Strong Foundation, a charity started by Darcie’s mum to support children and families affected by childhood cancer.
Darcie is my daughter Hannah’s best friend, and over the past couple of years we’ve watched her face more than any child ever should have to. Through everything, Darcie has shown what it truly means to be Brave. Positive. Strong. ❤️
So when the run gets tough, I’ll be thinking of Darcie and carrying those three words with me every step of the way.
If you can spare anything at all, I’d be incredibly grateful for your support. Every donation will help The Brave Positive Strong Foundation continue the amazing work it does for children and families going through childhood cancer.
For Darcie. ❤️
Brave. Positive. Strong.
The Brave, Positive, Strong Foundation is a Scottish children's cancer charity dedicated to supporting children and their families. Our aim is to ensure every newly diagnosed child in Scotland receives a cancer support bag. We believe no child or family should face cancer alone, every donation helps us provide comfort, help and support.
