Story
Our little boy Ethan was born with a very rare genetic mutation (so rare only around 100 people in the world are known to have it). We don’t fully know the extent of the impact but we do know it causes global development delay and hypotonia (low muscle tone). This means every milestone Ethan achieves he has to work so much harder towards and takes him a while longer. We work with Ethan everyday to build his physical strength. The name Ethan means “strong” and nothing could be more fitting for our miracle who works so hard every day, to do what most of us manage without thinking.
There is an incredible charity that has been fundamental to Ethan’s development and our support. It is free to families and receives no government funding so is wholly dependent on donations. In February we will be running a half marathon in support of small steps, to in some small way, give back. So if anyone has any spare pennies we’d love your sponsorship for our half marathon. There’s more info about them here: https://smallsteps.org.uk
