I am a volunteer at Home-Start Glasgow North and North Lanarkshire Family Group. Home-Start is a voluntary organisation committed to promoting the welfare of families with at least one child under five years of age. The families they support are struggling with issues such as isolation and loneliness, poverty, poor mental health, disability, lone parenting, bereavement, or multiple births among others. Over half are asylum seekers, refugees or come from ethnically diverse backgrounds.

I have decided to walk the West Highland Way in aid of Home-Start Glasgow North and North Lanarkshire as I admire the work that the charity carry out and how well they support their volunteers.
