I’m walking 90k this September (and some, I plan on walking a lot further), I’m doing this in memory of my daughter and Neil’s sister Amy.

I was helped by SANDS 41 years ago when my daughter Amy was stillborn, and I am really pleased to be able to help fundraise for them now. The vital role they perform when families suddenly find themselves in a place they never want or expect to be in, and the research they fund is invaluable.

Sands, the stillbirth and neonatal death charity, operates across the UK: supporting anyone affected by the death of a baby; working in partnership with health professionals to ensure that bereaved parents and families receive the best possible care; and promoting improvements in practice and funding research that could help to reduce the loss of babies’ lives.
