Running the London Marathon 2026 for Action for BPAN
On 27th April 2026, I’ll be running the London Marathon on behalf of the Arora Group — and I’m dedicating this run to support Action for BPAN, a vital charity raising funds for research and support for families affected by BPAN (Beta-Propeller Protein-Associated Neurodegeneration).
BPAN is an extremely rare and devastating neurological condition that affects children and young people. It causes progressive loss of movement, seizures, cognitive decline and other serious health challenges — and at present there is no cure or effective treatment. Families affected by BPAN face a daily struggle, filled with uncertainty and heartbreak, while advocating for better understanding, care and hope.
Action for BPAN was started by parents driven to make a difference and give a voice to this community. The charity works tirelessly to fund vital research into a promising gene therapy project at GOSH and UCL, which they hope will reach human trials in the near future. They're dedicated to raising awareness across the UK and beyond, and to supporting families navigating the challenges of living with BPAN every day
I’ve been deeply moved by the stories of strength, resilience and love from BPAN families — especially the courage shown by people like Kelly and others who share their journeys publicly. Their determination to face each day with hope and compassion reminds us that every step forward — no matter how small — truly matters.
Running 26.2 miles through London won’t be easy — but it’s nothing compared to the daily courage shown by those living with BPAN and their families. That’s why I’m asking for your support.
Please donate what you can — and please share this page.
Every pound raised brings us one step closer to more research, more awareness, more understanding, and ultimately more hope. 💛
Together, we can help turn awareness into action.
