Story
Thank you for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I’m raising money for SAMH because mental health has been part of my life for as long as I can remember. Anxiety has been part of my story since my early primary school days, and as an adult I’ve learned just how powerful the right support can be.
Sharing this is a bit of a brave step for me. I’m someone who can at times look completely fine on the outside while quietly struggling with anxiety most days. It’s not always obvious - and that’s exactly why raising awareness matters. By speaking openly, I hope to help others feel less alone and to show that you never really know what someone might be struggling with.
SAMH does incredible work across Scotland to make sure people can access support when they need it most. By raising both awareness and funds, I’m hoping to play a small part in helping them continue that work. If my honesty and this challenge help even one person feel seen, supported, or a little lighter, then every mile is worth it.
And while I’m definitely not out to break any records, getting out there and moving — at any pace — does wonders for the mind. So if you spot me jogging, shuffling, or enthusiastically power‑walking, just know it’s for a brilliant cause.
Wish us luck for the Dundee Half Dram, half marathon, on Sunday 12th July!
