Story
If you’ve found yourself here, welcome.
You’re probably thinking… why on earth are you doing this? Apart from raising money for a good cause.
I’m told a fire walk is never just about the money. It’s about who you become along the way.
A wise man once said we don’t set challenges to reach the goal, we set them for the person we become in the process. I like that.
So at the start of 2026, I had one sentence in my head:
If it scares you, it shapes you.
And this scares me. :)
Walking on fire isn’t my superpower. I’ve never done anything like this before. I’m not doing it for applause. I’m doing it because I’m curious to see who I become. Maybe I can prove to myself that fear doesn’t get the final word.
And I’m walking for Michael Sobell House, just down the road from me. It’s a place that steps in when life feels unbearably heavy, offering specialist care and real support to families who need it most.
So if I can take a few scary seconds and make them matter… why not?
Hand on heart, I haven’t quite figured out how to do this yet. I’m told it’s mind over matter. With your support, I won’t back down. :)
And here’s the other thing. Giving feels good. It reminds us we’re part of something bigger than ourselves. It connects us.
So if you can, give a little. Help me face my fear while supporting people facing far greater ones.
Every donation makes a difference. To them. And to us. :)
