Le Grizz 50 Mile Ultramarathon · 11 October 2025

It is our mission to raise awareness of Addison's Disease and improve the lives of, educate and support people diagnosed with Addison's Disease and their families. Approximately 9,000 people in the UK have Addison's, with over 300 new cases diagnosed each year, yet very few have heard of it.

Story

From the age of 9, Jordan and I were best friends. Going on family holidays together, chatting in the kitchen over a bowl of tomato soup after he’d walked our family dog, planning house parties while our parents were out of town, and of course me cleaning his house before his mum and dad came home.. to then being on opposite sides of the world and mainly sending mean text messages that meant we missed eachother.

After losing Jordan, I have struggled to grieve. I have mentally distanced myself from anything and anyone that could make the grief bubble up too much. But it’s time I faced the grief and did something to make him proud. I’m hoping that this can help bring more awareness to Addison’s Disease and also help me on my grief journey.

Jordan Crombie passed away at the of 28 years old in July 2022 following complications from Addison’s Disease. Jordan’s family have since set up their own charity Jordan's Addison's Disease Awareness and made it their mission to raise awareness of Addison's Disease and improve lives of, educate and support people diagnosed with Addison's Disease and their families. Approximately 9,000 people in the UK have Addison's Disease, with over 300 new cases diagnosed each year yet very few people have heard of this life changing disease!
