On the 6th of April, I'll be taking part in the London Landmarks Half Marathon. I’ve decided to take on this challenge not only to push myself but also to support a place that means a lot to me.

Alongside my main role, I am also the tutor for Songwriting and Music Production at Theatre Peckham. As well as a theatre, TP is also a charity, and I’ve seen firsthand how donations make a huge difference in providing financial support for young people to access the arts. A place in the Academy can be a life-changing opportunity, leading to a child potentially being scouted and going on to do big and amazing things! Your support helps to pay for a place for a child whose family may be on income support, enables us to take students on incredible trips, and so much more.

On a personal note, as some of you may know, last year was incredibly tough for me, and thanks to everyone of you for helping me though it all. This now feels like a meaningful way to prove to myself that I’m capable of achieving something I would never have imagined doing. I actually signed up for this last year but had to withdraw. However, just two weeks ago, I was given the opportunity to take someone else’s place. While I might not be physically prepared, mentally, I feel ready. I wan't to prove that with courage and determination, anything is possible, I wish to set this as an example to my students.

I am incredibly grateful for everyone's ongoing support with every crazy thing I do.
